This tale of the Raiders under 12 girls is not a fairytale. Rather, it is a journey of growth, set backs, grit and friendships. For 2 years now, this same group of girls has been steadily rising the ranks of their local competition with determination, grace and teamwork. Their energy and a relentless spirit, brings them back to the training paddock and the competition field every week with a quest to win the competition. Narrowly missing out on a grand final victory last season has made them even hungrier to claim the ultimate title.
Despite losing key players with broken bones and other injuries, their quest does not stop for the Raiders. Amidst laughter, high 5’s, chants, and the united dream of triumph, they stick at honing their craft. As they step onto the field each week, the dream is alive and the camaraderie among the team is palpable. They have learnt that nothing worthwhile comes without effort.
